Our Work
Barbara Marshall WRC
This Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) was built in 2020 with the aim of helping to care for animals before they are released or sent to other rehabilitation centers. WRC is the answer to the many animals that need help, especially medical care. To carry out this mission, we divided the team into 2, namely the rescue team and the animal care team, each of which has a different task. The rescue team is tasked with rescuing animals that need help, if animals need medical assistance or additional action they will be brought to the WRC but if the animals do not require further treatment they will be immediately released into the conservation forest. The animal care team is tasked with running the WRC so that the animals can be healthy and able to be released into the wild.
WRC is located on the Long Sam River, Merasa Village, Kelay District, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province, focusing on saving protected small primates, birds and other mammals. Initially this WRC was sponsored by a kind woman named Barbara Marshall, she dedicated her life to support this wildlife rescue center. For that we put her name specifically by mentioning the BMWRC (Barbara Marshall Wildlife Rescue Centre).
